January - A Swallowtail Farm Dining Experience

  • Swallowtail Farm 7301 Southeast 92 Terrace Gainesville, FL, 32641 United States (map)

Featuring inaugural Chef Jenna Melon!

Welcoming you the first farm dinner of 2023! Ring in the new year with fresh air and beautiful farm surroundings. This dinner will feature the best of winter farm fare — cold-sweetened roots like beets, carrots, and turnips; cold-hardy greens including cabbage, lettuces, and kales, and maybe even some fo the first strawberries of the season!

Chef Jenna Melon became interested in cooking while pursuing her masters in education. She credits Gainesville as her culinary hub and place of training, having worked under talented chefs at Gainesville favorites including Sushi Matsuri and Superette restaurants. She draws inspiration from our ever-evolving relationships with food—from long-standing traditions of cultivation and preparation to future innovations as we adapt to the challenges of a changing climate. While this is Jenna’s first time hosting a farm dinner as Guest Chef, she has been creating beautiful plates behind the scenes at the farm’s other farm-to-table dinners. We are honored to have Jenna as our lead Guest Chef this dinner!

Tickets are NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-TRANSFERABLE if canceled within 7 days of the event. Dinners are a set menu designed by our guest Chefs and excite flexible, adventurous eaters. If you or someone in your party has individual dietary needs, please email us at swallowtaildining@gmail.com upon purchasing tickets so that we can work to accommodate your request. While most dietary needs can be accommodated, please understand that heavy restrictions or multiple food requests may be difficult to fulfill.  Because the meal is made from the freshest, most hyper-local and in-season ingredients, we do not release menus before the event itself.  We ask that you have trust in our guest chefs and our 11 seasons of hosting farm-to-table events!  We promise you'll be glad you waited for the main event reveal.

We proudly serve brew from our local craft breweries and certified organic/biodynamic wine. For the safety of our guests, we suggest that you either arrange for a designated driver within your party, or plan for a driving service to get you home safely.

This event is hosted on a working farm. Please dress according to the weather and wear proper footwear; we suggest flat, close-toed shoes or boots.  If the evening may turn chilly, bring layers so that you can be comfortable throughout the temperature drop.

Dining Experience tickets make a perfect anniversary gift, birthday present, romantic date, family or group occasion or destination dinner!
